Rangers reportedly looking to bring former Manchester City youth striker to Ibrox

As per Football Insider, Rangers are keen on bringing Fleetwood Town striker Devante Cole to Ibrox this month as manager Graeme Murty looks to strengthen his attack.

The Light Blues have lost Kenny Miller to a long-term injury, and they reckon Cole, a Manchester City academy graduate could be a great addition to the striking department.

The 22-year-old has been in impressive form in front of goal for the League One side this term, netting 12 times in 30 appearances across all competitions.

As expected, Rangers aren’t the only suitors willing to land Cole who could available for cheap as his current contract expires at the end of the campaign.

The English Championship quintet of Sheffield United, Birmingham, Ipswich, Reading and Wigan are also all keen on the young striker’s signature, and the Gers will have to battle fiercely to land their man.

Having trained alongside the likes of Sergio Aguero and Emmanuel Adebayor at City, Cole is well-schooled and mentored in the business of scoring goals, and Rangers could be having a lethal hitman on their hands should they manage to come out top in the race.
