Sky Sports reports that Liverpool asked for Luis Suarez during the negotiations with Barcelona for Philippe Coutinho. Spanish newspaper Don Balon also said that Reds are willing to take a shot for their ex-striker.
Coutinho’ transfer to Camp Nou seems to be very close, and Liverpool are trying to find some worthy replacement, with some names like Riyad Mahrez and Thomas Lemar were circling around.
However, reports now suggest that Jurgen Klopp would like make a move for Uruguayan forward who doesn’t have a great season, this is, in fact, his weakest term since arriving at Catalan club.
Suarez was a fan favorite during his time at Anfield, and Liverpool supporters would be more than happy to see him in the red shirt again. The former Ajax player is one of the best strikers in the world, and it would be a major hit for English side if they manage to bring him back.
This is of course, is still only a specuation but where there is smoke, there’s also fire.
