Liverpool recently broke the bank to complete a £75million deal to land Virgil van Dijk, and already have an F.A Cup victory over Everton to show for it.
The Reds are still in search of their first-ever Premier League title, and landing January target and AS Roma shotstopper Alisson Becker could prove to be the final piece of the jigsaw as far as winning the top prize goes.
Manager Jurgen Klopp is said to be looking to bring the Brazil international to Anfield this month, but he faces competition from PSG who also reckon a top goalie is the only missing link within their squad.
Alisson, 25, has been in fine form for the Serie A giants since arriving from Internacional last summer, playing a huge role thus far this term as Roma challenge for the title.
His full concentration all-game means there is no room for mistakes and errors, while his shot stopping reflexes, ability to save close range shots and excel during one-on-one’s have already seen him become Brazil’s number 1.
Liverpool’s attack and midfield are in great shape right now, and can rival any team in the land.
The defence has, however, been the issue for a long while, but the arrival of Van Dijk means things are about to improve, and adding a top goalie like Alisson will without a doubt make them invincible at the back.
Winning the Premier League remains top priority at the Merseyside club, and they are just a signing away from mounting a strong title challenge next season.
