According to the Spanish newspaper Diario Gol, Spanish international Dani Ceballos has expressed his desire to move to Liverpool from Real Madrid over the January transfer window.
The 21-year-old midfielder left Betis to join Real Madrid this summer after rejecting Barcelona, but his adventure with Los Blancos could already finish this January.
The former Betis star was one of the best players of the last year’s European U-21 Championship, which earned him a transfer to the ranks of the Spanish champions, but due to very tough competition, he has been unable to make an impact.
Ceballos is a versatile midfielder with great technical skills and he can cover multiple roles in the center of the park, but his primary position is a deep-lying playmaker.
He has great vision and passing abilities that makes him a perfect replacement for Emre Can, who is on his way out. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp certainly likes players a player of Cabellas’ type, so a potential January transfer should not be excluded.
