According to reports, Burnley are considering a move for Newcastle United winger Matt Ritchie.
Clarets manager Sean Dyche would like to add a midfielder to his side with Robbie Brady expected to be out for the rest of the season.
It remains to be seen whether Magpies manager Rafa Benitez would entertain any thoughts of Ritchie leaving the club, especially as the 28-year old is an important first team member.
However the Magpies do face the possibility of relegation this season and the cash-strapped club may need to sell a few players if they want to raise funds to bolster their side this month.
Ritchie has produced five assists in 21 Premier League games this season and Dyche is a fan of his crossing ability and dead ball deliveries.
Burnley meanwhile have been one of the surprise packages in the English top flight this season and are currently in 7th position on the League standings.
