South American star reportedly seen as possible replacement for Coutinho

As Philippe Coutinho’s transfer to Barcelona seems very close, Liverpool have wasted no time and have identified Manuel Lanzini as a possible replacement. The Sun reports that the Merseyside team would like to take West Ham playmaker for a fee of £40m.

The possible departure of Coutinho would be a very heavy blow for Jurgen Klopp’s team and the question is how the Reds will react if they are without the Brazilian wizard.

The only certain thing is that Liverpool will have to invest huge amount of cash if they want to bring another high-quality playmaker.

Lanzini is being described as a creative player, with great vision and passing ability. The Argentinean attacking midfielder is also known for his speed, and the ability to past the defenders with his skills and pace.
