As The Scottish Daily Record reports, Burnley could try to sign Celtic defender Jozo Simunovic for a fee of around £8million.
The Premier League side already attempted to sign the 23-year-old last summer but saw their offer easily rejected by the Scottish champions.
The former Dinamo Zagreb center-back has proven to be very reliable and he established himself as a first team member.
He has performed very well at the Celtic back line alongside Mikael Lustig and made huge contribution to Celtic’s domestic league title.
The Bosnian international is a tall and powerful player, who’s known for his tackling ability and domination in aerial duels.
Simunovic was an important player for Brendan Rodgers’ side but due to a series of injuries he has lost place in the first eleven recently.
Although Celtic refused Burnely’s offer for Simunovic in the summer transfer window because of the obligations in the qualification round for the Champions League, it is possible that things will change in January.
