According to reports, West Ham are plotting to make an ambitious move for Sporting Lisbon striker Raul Jimenez.

The Hammers are keen to bring in the Mexico international to their squad during the coming weeks and could pay up to £25 million.

Jimenez was linked with Everton during the summer transfer window and the Toffees are said to have had their advances turned down by Benfica.

The Hammers will be keen to bring in support for in-form striker Marko Arnautovic during the January transfer window.

What is however concerning is the fact that Jimenez is a player who is currently low in terms of confidence as he has yet to score a single goal and has only made one start all season for his club.

The 26 year old is likely to be keen on a move as he looks to play as regularly as possible in order to try and win a place in the Mexican squad for the 2018 World Cup.
