According to a report published by AS, West Ham are interested in signing Leganes midfielder Gabriel Pires.
The 24-year old joined Leganes during the summer of 2016 from Juventus and has gone on to establish himself as an important member of the squad.
He has so far played 14 times in La Liga this season, scoring three goals and providing one assist. The report added that there are two proposals which West Ham are willing to make.
The first is to make an offer of £4.5 million in order to sign the player on a permanent basis.
The second is to take him on loan for the rest of the season, pay an initial £1.5 million before giving £8 million at the end of the season to sign him permanently.
One of Pires best strengths is the fact that he is versatile and can operate as a defensive midfielder, central midfielder or attacking midfielder.
