West Ham star Arnautovic slams referee following Bournemouth draw

West Ham striker Marko Arnautovic has expressed his dissatisfaction with referee Bobby Madley after his side’s 3-3 draw with Bournemouth on Tuesday.

Arnautovic said: “It can’t be a goal for Bournemouth and it has to be a red card for Bournemouth, but that is football. I don’t know if I can be happy for the one point as the referee took three points from us.

“The mistake was the referee went to the linesman. He knows he made a mistake, but we all make mistakes. We have to believe, we are not in a brilliant position, but we have a lot of games to go and we can turn things around.”

The Hammers took the lead during the game through a goal from James Collins before goals from Dan Gosling and Nathan Ake put the Cherries ahead.

A brace from in-form striker Marko Arnautovic gave the Hammers a 3-2 lead and seemed to put them on course for victory.

However Callum Wilson seemingly handed the ball into the net during second half stoppage time. Despite linesman Simon Long raising his flag, referee Madley decided to award the goal.

The Irons will no doubt be furious as they were denied two points while the Cherries gained a valuable point from the game.
