According to popular West Ham source Claret and Hugh, West Ham manager David Moyes could move for midfielder John McGinn should he fail to sign Steven N’Zonzi.
N’Zonzi fell out of favour at Sevilla in November and looked destined to leave the club in January.
However things have now been complicated after the Spanish club last week sacked boss Eduardo Berizzi and a deal will now be difficult to negotiate.
Moyes has reportedly made signing a midfielder a priority for January as he looks to help the club avoid relegation.
The former Everton and Manchester United boss is said to be a fan of the 23-year old McGinn who plays his football for Hibernian and has been tipped to make the grade in the Premier League.
Should Hibs be willing to sell, McGinn will likely cost around £4 million which is a bargain fee for a Premier League club.
