Everton reportedly launch £17.7 million offer for attacker

Everton have reportedly made a £17.7 million offer for Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun.

Prior to the arrival of Sam Allardyce at Goodisan Park, the Toffees played a poor brand of football and a big reason for why that was the case was because they failed to bring in a replacement for RomeluLukaku during the summer transfer window.

The 26-year old Tosun has been in fine form this season, scoring 13 goals from 23 appearances and he played a key role in helping his side top their Champions League group.

Besiktas will be hesitant to part ways with Tosun in January considering that they have made it to the Champions League last 16.

However the player is perhaps now at the peak of his career and he will surely be aware that the time is no right for him to make a return to England.

He was previously on the books of Arsenal but left the club to join Besiktas in 2012 after failing to establish himself within the first team.
