Everton star Pickford reveals the best thing that can happen to him

Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has said that it would be the best thing that will ever happen to him if he is given the chance to represent England at the 2018 World Cup.

“Hopefully when March comes round I will get an opportunity to play again, it is all about experience and what will be will be,” said Pickford.

“If that is playing in a World Cup for England that will be the best thing that has ever happened to me but you have to keep working hard.

“If it is not me and I am on the plane then I will be supporting them all the way because it is about being a team.

“I have made my debut which was a dream so if I could go to the World Cup, I would be 24 then, it would be a great experience.

“The main thing is making sure I am on the plane because that will be a great experience for myself.”

It remains to be seen who will be the Three Lions first choice in Russia. Joe Hart’s chances have taken a blow after he was demoted to second choice keeper of West Ham in favour of Adrian.

It is now a three way battle between Hart, Jack Butland and Pickford. Considering that Hart is not playing regular football, the first choice position could end off being a battle between Butland and Pickford.
