Leeds United boss makes honest admission following Hull City victory

Leeds United manager Thomas Christiansen has admitted that his side can count themselves lucky after they defeated Hull City 1-0 on Saturday.

The Whites continued their recent revival as a first half goal from Pablo Hernandez proved sufficient to secure them three points.

The Yorkshire giants did not win under convincing circumstances as they were under pressure for a large portion of the game.

Christiansen has admitted that his side were rather lucky on the occasion and said: “When it looked worst, we got our goal. They put us under high pressure and I have to be honest, we were lucky to take the three points,”

A dreadful run of form between September and November saw Leeds slip from 1st position on the Championship to 10th, however they have recently undergone a revival and their hopes of qualifying for the promotion playoffs now look to be back on track.
