Premier League side’s manager refuses to rule out a deal with Celtic

Brighton and Hove Albion manager Chris Hughton has refused to rule out a January move for Celtic star Moussa Dembele.

Celtic’s Moussa Dembele is regarded as one of the best young talents in Europe as the Belgian has been impressing for the Scottish giants in recent seasons.

Dembele’s exploits have led many teams to chase the young forward and there are currently teams from both the top half and the bottom half of the Premier League table who are eyeing up a move for the 21-year-old.

One of those clubs chasing the young forward is believed to be Brighton & Hove Albion and the Seagulls are very interested as they are in dire need of attacking reinforcements in their bid to ensure their Premier League survival.

The speculation has led reporters to query Seagulls manager Chris Hughton regarding a potential move for Dembele and to fuel the rumors, he failed to rule out a move for the exciting Belgian this January.

Hughton responded to a question regarding Dembele by saying, “He is one of probably 100 names you could mention that, if I had an opportunity to want them, then you probably would.

“But he’s not our player, like anyone else you could throw into the mix. We’ll work as hard as we can in this period of time leading into January.

“If anything happens in January, it will happen because it is right and the processes leading into it would be right.”
