West Brom are reportedly chasing Newcastle striker Aleksandar Mitrovic. The Baggies face the threat of relegation this season and have struggled in front of goal, scoring just 13 times so far in the League.
As a result, they are considering the possibility of recruiting Mitrovic, who Newcastle are willing to part ways with in January – according to the Daily Mail.
The 23-year old has managed to score two goals this season; however he has struggled to earn regular game time for Rafa Benitez’s men and will be keen to play as regularly as possibly during the second half of the campaign in order to be at his best for Serbia during the 2018 World Cup.
Newcastle themselves are looking to bolster their options up front and have been linked with a move for Leicester’s Islam Slimani, Liverpool’s Danny Ings, Bestikas forward CenkTosun and Basel’s Dimitri Oberlin.
Mitrovic does not fit into Benitez’s style of play and there is a high chance that he will be leaving the club.
