Ian Wright has suggested that Toby Alderweireld will be a perfect signing for Manchester United during the January transfer window.
Though Manchester United have been in good form this season and are arguably playing their best football so far since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson, they are nowhere near the quality of Manchester City at the moment.
They currently trail the League leaders by 12 points. Alderweireld is widely regarded as being one of the best defenders in the Premier League and has managed to make 16 appearances in all competitions for Spurs this season.
United may look to sign a new defender in January and Wright has suggested that Alderweireld could be a good addition.
He said: “Alderweireld could go anywhere. He could play for any club. He could play for Real Madrid. He could play for Barcelona. He could play for Manchester United.”
