Celtic’s chances of landing Chelsea midfielder Charly Musonda on loan in January have come under huge threat from 3 top clubs, with Belgian newspaper Het Laaste Nieuws reporting that Sevilla, Real Betis and Inter Milan are all keen on the prodigy.
The Hoops are looking to bolster their options on the wings with Manchester City ace Patrick Roberts set for a long spell on the injury sidelines, and were keeping tabs on Musonda as a top target in January.
Despite only just signing a contract extension at Stamford Bridge, the 21-year-old is to go on loan next month as the Blues reckon he’s better off developing somewhere else with the opportunity of first-team football.
Given his huge potential and versatility, Musonda will no doubt be a great signing for Celtic, but with European giants like the aforementioned duo, and Betis where he recently had a loan spell, keen, the race for his signature is about to get stiffer.
It won’t be a clear cut chance for the Hoops as far as landing the highly-talented bag-of-trick goes, and they will have to go all out to have a chance.
