As per the Herald, Celtic are set to land St. Mirren midfielder Lewis Morgan for a deal around £300,000 including add-ons.
The former Rangers youth player was also wanted by the Light Blues, while English Championship sides Nottingham Forest and Preston North End were keen too.
Morgan will remain at Mirren on loan till the end of the campaign in order to help the club with their promotion push back to the Premiership.
The 21-year-old has been the Scottish Championship’s stand-out player of the year thus far, and is expected to be a valuable addition to the Parkhead outfit.
Midfield recruitments have become necessary of recent to Celtic, and in Morgan, they could be securing the services of a player bound for greatness in the near future.
He has played 99 games for the Buddies, finding the back of the net on 18 occasions in the process.
Hoops manager Brendan Rodgers once said of Morgan: “The boy Lewis Morgan at St Mirren: quick, dynamic, can press, can run, can get at people.”
