Arsenal legend explains why Sadio Mane may not like Salah

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has questioned the possibility of Liverpool star Sadio Mane being jealous of his team-mate Mohamed Salah.

Since arriving at the Reds from Roma during the summer transfer window, Salah has proven to be arguably the best signing of the summer transfer window and has so far scored 20 goals in all competitions for the club.

Mane meanwhile started on the bench during the Reds 4-0 win over Bournemouth during the weekend as goals from Salah, Philippe Coutinho, Dejan Lovren and Roberto Firmino sealed victory for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Both Salah and Mane are expected to travel to Ghana together for the CAF Awards ceremony on January 4th and this means that they could be unlikely to play against Everton in the FA Cup the following day.

“Do you think there is a bit of jealous there? With Mo Salah,” Wright asked on BBC 5 Live.

“He just looks a little bit perturbed by it. Mo Salah has come in and – remember when Mané went to the Africa Cup of Nations and everyone was like ‘oh it’s over now, we can’t replace Mané,” Wright added.
