Aston Villa reportedly interested in signing veteran EPL attacker

According to reports, Aston Villa could be set to make a move for veteran forward Jonathan Walters during the January transfer window.

Walters moved to Burnley during the summer following a several year stint with Stoke City.

He has however struggled for game time at the Clarets and has managed to make only three appearances in all competitions this season.

Walters is renowned for his hard-work and has a wealth of experience at the highest level which could make him a good signing for Villa.

The Villains current have Gabby Agbonlahor, Jonathan Kodjia, Scott Hogan and Rushian Hepburn-Murphy out injured and this has forced them to rely upon the young Keinan Davis up front.

Steve Bruce is therefore likely to make bringing in a new striker to the club a priority in January and Walters could be one of the names on the list.
