Everton reportedly eyeing swoop for Leeds striking sensation ahead of January

As per reports, Everton are following up on their interest on Leeds forward Mallik Wilks after being impressed with his performances with League 2’s Accrington Stanley.

The likes of West Brom, Newcastle and Middlesbrough were all keen on the 18-year-old whose loan term ends in few weeks’ time, but it’s the Toffees that appear to have emerged as favourites.

Wilks has been in great form in front of goal at Accrington, scoring 5 goals over the course of 20 games and helping the side to top 3 on the log.

Leeds are known to be willing to let youngsters leave for the right prices, and their Academy product could be next in line for a Premier League switch.

Everton have been handing youngsters chances in recent seasons, with the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Jonjoe Kenny, Tom Davies and Mason Holgate forming a huge part of the first-team this term.

Such a track record will tempt the highly-rated Wilks into agreeing to a move, and although he’s still most likely to link up with the youth team, a bright future awaits him at Goodison Park if he lives up to the hype going forward.
