Reading and Leeds United reportedly chase Rangers man

Reading and Leeds United are chasing Cardiff City defender Declan John, who is currently on loan at Scottish side Rangers, according to reports from Wales Online.

Declan John has been impressing so far this season for Rangers and the 22-year-old’s performances have attracted the attention of various clubs from across England in recent times.

Clubs such as Leeds United and Reading are believed to be especially interested in John and both the aforementioned clubs are now allegedly planning a move for the young defender during the January transfer window.

Leeds and Reading are looking for a natural left-back who is both solid in defense as well as industrious in attack, and certainly John ticks all the required boxes making him an ideal target for the two sides.

However, Reading and Leeds will need to fight between themselves to sign the defender and it might be a long and drawn transfer saga before a move can be confirmed in January transfer window – especially with Rangers in the picture as well.
