According to reports, Everton are interested in signing Leeds United youngster Mallik Wilks.
The 18-year-old is currently on loan with Accrington Stanley. He has so far been impressive for the League Two side and has scored five goals.
Wilks has made his first team debut for the Whites senior side and played during their shock defeat at the hands of non-league Sutton in the FA Cup last season.
Everton along with West Bro are two clubs who are reported to have shown interest in recruiting Wilks. The youngster certainly looks like he deserves an opportunity in the upper echelons of football.
Talking about the lessons that he has learnt playing in League Two, he said: “You realise how important every point is, how important winning is. When you play in the Under 23s it doesn’t matter whether you win or lose, it’s how you play.
“When you play in League Two, every point in vital. When you come on in the last 10 minutes and you are 1-0 down, you know you have to do everything to score.
“Being a sub is hard as, when you come on, you have to get straight into the tempo of the game but I was happy to get back among the goals. I am here until January and now I hope to get more games and get into double digits.”
