Everton manager Allardyce reportedly not looking to sign Sunderland attacker

Sam Allardyce will not be reuniting with Whabi Khazri at Everton despite recent reports suggesting that a deal could happen in January.

Khazri is currently plying his trade for French club Rennes on loan from Sunderland however recent reports suggested that he is one of the players whom Allardyce could look to bring to Goodison Park in January along with Dutch defender Patrick Van Aanholt.

The suggestion was that Sunderland could recall Khazri from his loan spell in order for a deal to go ahead.

Khazri has however already played a handful of games for Sunderland this season before a moved to Rennes and according to Fifa rules, a player can only play for two clubs during a season.

It would be a waste of time if Everton sign him up in January as he would not be able to play until the end of the season. Allardyce brought Khazri to Sunderland in January 2016 from Bordeaux for a fee of £9 million.
