Paul Merson has predicted that Liverpool will win their Premier League clash against West Brom on Wednesday night.
“West Brom haven’t got going have they?” he told Sky Sports.
“It is all well and good coming in and saying that they are going to be playing front-foot football, but they have to produce.
“At Swansea they were really poor. Two games, no goals. I can’t see anything but a Liverpool win, they will be fuming after Sunday.
“It is a very, very soft penalty. If you give that you have to give 50 penalties a game. They’ll have too much for West Brom though.”
Liverpool were left frustrated during the weekend as they were denied victory against Everton due to a debatable penalty decision.
It was only the second time since October that they failed to score twice in a match and they will be hoping to return to top form against Alan Pardew’s side.
The Baggies have failed to score during their two games played under Pardew so far and should Jurgen Klopp’s men get the basics right on the day, they should be able to win the game convincingly.
