Augsburg left-back Philipp Max is a wanted man ahead of next month’s transfer window, with the Premier League quartet of Tottenham, Manchester United, Everton and Liverpool all keen on his services.
The 24-year-old has assisted 7 league goals thus far, more than any other defender in Europe’s top leagues, and only 3 players are ahead of him on the assist charts.
Max is hoping to land a spot on the Germany squad to next year’s World Cup, and his attacking qualities are now bound to catch the eyes.
Spurs will try to replace the wantaway Danny Rose in January, and Max can prove to be an upgrade on Ben Davies.
The Toffees could do with an upgrade in the position, with 33-year-old Leighton Baines past his prime, while free summer signing Cuco Martina hasn’t exactly been impressive.
The Reds also haven’t been solid at left-back going forward, with the duo of Alberto Moreno and Andrew Robertson without a league assist thus far.
In Max, the trio and other suitors can land a top full/wing-back, but signing him won’t come cheap as he only just signed a 5-year extension.
