David Moyes speaks on the West Ham future of Joe Hart

West Ham manager David Moyes has ruled out the possibility of Joe Hart returning to Manchester City.

Hart arrived at the London Stadium from City during the summer transfer window after falling down the pecking order at Pep Guardiola’s club.

He has been criticized for his performances this season and was dropped for West Ham’s 1-0 win over Chelsea on Saturday in place of Adrian.

Hart’s current situation will no doubt hamper his chances of being England’s first choice keeper at the 2018 World Cup.

Despite Hart being demoted, Moyes has ruled out the possibility of the keeper returning to City in January.

“I don’t think we could work here without two top goalkeepers,” Moyes said. “Because we have got a couple of cup games, we have got an incredibly busy period. What if we got an injury? Who would we play? If it was me I would definitely want the two goalkeepers.

“They (Hart and Adrian) are both really, really good goalkeepers. Joe is England’s No 1 and Adrian is a really good goalkeeper here at West Ham so we have good competition.”
