Out-of-favour Everton duo could make case for playing regularly with Thursday’s game

Everton manager Sam Allardyce is set to use Thursday’s dead-rubber Europa League clash against Apollon Limassol to hand a couple of fringe players a rare opportunity.

Reports confirm that struggling summer arrivals Sandro Ramirez and Davy Klaassen will be getting the nod alongside a couple of youth players against the Cyprus side.

Big Sam will be hoping to kill 2 birds with a stone, as apart from handing needed rest to the regulars ahead of Sunday’s clash against Liverpool, he will also get to see the fringe and youth players deserving of first-team chances.

Ramirez and Klaassen have both struggled to impress since arriving from Malaga and Ajax respectively months ago, both starting just 3 Premier League games each.

They were left out of the squad that recorded a 2-nil win over Huddersfield on Saturday, but now have a very scarce chance to make a claim for more playing minutes.

Considering Allardyce’s reputation for always fielding his best players at any given time, Ramirez and Klaassen have to grab Thursday’s opportunity with both hands, as it could have a lot of say on their playing chances going forward.
