Liverpool in talks with 23-year-old to solve left-back problem

Liverpool are looking at AS Roma’s Emerson Palmieri to be their next signing and provide an upgrade in the left-back position, according to Football Talk.

Liverpool have been struggling to adequately improve the left-back position in recent years, with multiple players filling in for the Reds but it has to be said that none of them have succeeded in making it their own.

Last season, James Milner played as the permanent Liverpool left-back with mixed results and during the current campaign it is Alberto Moreno who has featured most regularly in the position.

Moreno has impressed in the position during some phases this season but he still looks unsure in defense, which has resulted in Jurgen Klopp looking at another other option in the form of Roma left-back Emerson Palmieri to provide an upgrade to the Spaniard.

It is believed that Roma are asking at least £22million for the promising full-back and Liverpool might need to pay every penny of it to prize away the talented defender as he is consider a great prospect for the future.
