Ex-Rangers man claims inside sources have revealed the 2 crucial managerial decisions

Considering the club’s AGM was recently concluded, Rangers could name a new manager before the new week runs out as anticipated.

Former Rangers midfielder Alex Rae has claimed that sources from within Ibrox has told him that Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes could be appointed within a matter of days.

The Dons boss remains the Light Blues’ top target for the job despite strong claims that he won’t be leaving Pittodrie anytime soon.

Rae revealed when asked if McInnes could prove to be the perfect man for Rangers: “A couple of sources had text me in the last few days to say that that was the case, and I’m thinking they weren’t overly involved with the club. And then within the last few days people have eluded that it may well be done next week.”

Rangers chairman Dave King revealed during the week that a manager with Scottish and British experience is the club’s clear choice, and given his success at Aberdeen, McInnes ticks all the right boxes.

It remains to be seen if he will indeed be appointed soon, but it’s believed he won’t find it easy to reject the chance to manage the Ibrox outfit.
