West Ham United goalkeeper Adrian is set to make a return to first team action this weekend when the Hammers play against Manchester City in a Premier League clash.
After winning the first choice goalkeeping position at the club from Darren Randolph towards the end of last season, Adrian was demoted to second choice ahead of this season after Joe Hart arrived on loan from Manchester City.
Hart will however be ineligible to play against his former club meaning that Adrian will likely start the game.
The 30-year-old Adrian, who was a first team regular under Sam Allardyce and Slaven Bilic, has made just three appearances so far this season – all of which came in the EFL Cup.
Hart has been criticized for his performances this season as the Hammers are performing poorly and was also blamed for the third goal which Wayne Rooney scored during the clubs thrashing at the hands of Everton on Wednesday.
