Newcastle United youngster attracts interest from a host of clubs

Newcastle United youngster Alex Gilliead has reportedly attracted the interest of three Championship clubs due to his performances for Bradford City which have been impressive.

According to a report published by The Evening Chronicle, Hull City, Millwall and Sunderland are all keen on signing the player during the January transfer window.

Gilliead has established himself as a key part of the Bradford side this season who are chasing promotion from League One and he has so far played 18 matches.

His loan deal is set to expire in January and Newcastle may feel that it may be beneficial for the player to get experience at a higher level.

As such, the Magpies could allow the player to join a Championship club in order to further gauge his potential.

A move to Sunderland looks unlikely considering the rivalry between the two clubs however a move to either Hull City or Millwall could be on the cards.
