Liverpool legend Aldridge slams Jurgen Klopp for this reason

Liverpool legend John Aldridge has claimed that Jurgen Klopp got his decision making wrong during the club’s weekend Premier League draw against Chelsea and added that striker Sadio Mane is right to feel upset.

Despite being one of the Reds livewires this season, Mane was surprisingly left on the bench for the Reds game against the reigning Premier League Champions.

He was eventually introduced during the second half along with Adam Lallana after Willian managed to find an equalizer for Chelsea.

After the game Mane was seen in an unhappy mood and having a discussion with Klopp. Aldridge criticized Klopp’s decision making and added that he feels that Mane was justified to be upset.

He said: “SADIO Mane should have started for Liverpool against Chelsea on Saturday and I am not surprised that he was seriously annoyed to spend his evening warming the bench.

“Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp threw a few curve balls with his team selection and tactics for one of the biggest games of his side’s season and if we are being honest, his gambles didn’t pay off as Chelsea snatched a late equaliser in the 1-1 draw.

“Daniel Sturridge didn’t do enough to suggest he deserves as regular place in the side and Klopp should have switched to a back five defensive line for the final 15 minutes to the game as Chelsea pushed for their equaliser.”
