Liverpool reignite their interest in signing 17-goals-in-19-appearance attacker

Aubameyang

Liverpool are once again being linked with Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang.

Reds manager Jurgen Klopp is a fan of the Gabon international and has also previously worked with him at Dortmund.

Aubameyang is widely regarded as being one of the world’s top forwards and has scored 96 goals in the Bundesliga since arriving in 2013.

He has also been in fine form so far this season and has scored 11 goals. Dortmund are now prepared to sell the 28-year-old striker and German outlet Bild has claimed that they will do so if they receive an offer of £54 million.

Aubameyang will be an attractive addition to the Reds side and is certainly a player that most managers would want to have in their squad.

However reinforcing his attack is unlikely to be on Klopp’s mind until next summer. He will likely rather focus on strengthening his defence in January.
