Controversial pundit Joey Barton has taken a swipe at Liverpool, claiming that they should be closer to the relegation zone than to the League title.

The Reds looked set for victory after Mohamed Salah put them ahead, however Chelsea managed to find an equalizer through Willian.
With Manchester City in sublime form this season, the Reds hopes of lifting the League title this season appear to be already over.
When asked to defend recent comments which he made about Liverpool, Barton could not resist taking a dig at the club on Twitter.
Barton is certainly one who regularly causes controversy and that is possibly what he wanted to achieve by doing this.
The Reds form has however indeed been inconsistent and this is something that they will have to rectify if they want to challenge for trophies.
