Everton striker Oumar Niasse has blasted his former manager Ronald Koeman and claimed that the Dutchman tried to destroy his career.
After moving to the Toffees in February last year, Niasse initially struggled to establish himself at the club and found first team action hard to come by.
He was demoted to the clubs U-23 side and allowed to go out on loan to Hull City for the second half of last season.
Koeman however was forced to re-introduce Niasse into his first team plans ahead of this season after the Toffees failed to find a replacement for Romelu Lukaku.
The Senegal international has so far exceeded expectation this season and is currently his clubs leading goal scorer with six goals.
When speaking about Koeman, he said: “When Koeman arrived I was a real good target to destroy.
“He tried, but I was strong enough to stay. I worked so hard to come to the Premier League so I had to stay in the Premier League. For him (Koeman), he worked so hard to let me go. He tried to do a lot of things that were not nice”.
