Manchester City target Jack Clarke is happy to have signed a new contract with Leeds United.
The youngster has so far been in sterling form for the Leeds U-18 side this season and has scored nine goals from several starts.
His impressive form has alerted other clubs including Premier League heavyweights Manchester City. Clarke however penned a new three-and-a-half year deal with Leeds on his 17th birthday.
He is seemingly happy to continue his progress at the Yorkshire club for now and it is perhaps the correct decision.
He is playing well and can perhaps thing about the possibility of joining another club at a later stage once he gets more experience and confidence.
Clarke said, “It feels good because it’s just what I’ve been working towards for a while, and it’s a bit of a relief to get it so early. It means I can push on now, and not have to focus on it for the next couple of years.
“I’ve been here for so long, and I feel like I’ve got a good support behind me at the academy. I wouldn’t want to leave when I’ve got everything I want right here.”
