Former Everton star Andrei Kanchelskis believes that David Unsworth should be given the Everton managerial position until the end of the season.
The Toffees have been without a manager since parting ways with Ronald Koeman last month and since then Unsworth has been in charge of the struggling club on a temporary basis.
Though Unsworth is in the running for the full-time job, the club has not shown much progress under him and controversial pundit Joey Barton recently claimed that the club will be relegated should Unsworth remain in charge.
Kanchelskis who is a two-time Premier League winner believes that the Toffees should show faith in Unsworth.
He said: “It’s better if Everton keep Unsworth and Ferguson until the end of the season. If a new coach comes in he needs time to look at the players and some coaches come in and say ‘I don’t want this player, I want to buy a new player’ which will be extra money.”
