After Silva snub, Everton eye 59-year-old as top managerial target

According to reports, Everton are targeting Ralf Rangnick as their new manager.

The Toffees have been without a manager since they parted ways with Ronald Koeman following their 5-2 defeat against Arsenal last month and they are currently languishing in 16th position on the Premier League standings with 12 points from 12 games.

Rangnick is currently the Sporting director at German club RB Leipzig and it remains to be seen whether he will be keen on taking charge of the Toffees.

Toffees majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri is aware that he will need to appoint the right man this season as it could have a big impact on his club’s fortunes. He is said to be a big fan of Rangnick.

Current Watford boss Marco Silva remains the Merseyside clubs number one target. However the Hornets are refusing to part ways with their manager and it currently looks like the only way that Everton can appoint the 40-year-old is if he resigns from his position.
