West Ham’s early-campaign relegation battle continues on Friday when they host Leicester City at the London Stadium.

Manager David Moyes will be looking to record his first win in charge of the Hammers following the loss to Watford last time out.

The Scot has been handed a massive boost ahead of the Foxes’ visit, as injury fears over summer arrival Marko Arnautovic have been allayed, while Andre Ayew is also fit.

The Austrian winger was substituted against the Hornets 16 minutes from time after his thumb was accidentally stepped on by Marvin Zeegelaar.

However, scan results have declared Arnautovic fit as he didn’t suffer a broken finger.

Ayew, despite taking his time to get fit is also set to make Friday’s matchday squad.

Moyes revealed during Thursday’s pre-match conference, “We thought it was bad. There are no breaks, it was badly swollen. He’s (Arnautovic) fine and has trained with a good plaster on it. Ayew has taken a couple of days to find his feet but is back in.”

West Ham currently have the likes of Sam Byram, Jose Fonte and Javier Hernandez out injured, and Moyes can’t afford further casualties in an already thin squad.

That the former Stoke City forward and Ghanaian star will be available for selection is a massive boost for West Ham.

Despite yet to assist or open his account in front of goal, Arnautovic remains a threat to any opposition, and the Leicester clash could spur him into action.
