Liverpool boss Klopp speaks on potential Sturridge exit

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has insisted that his club needs all their players and this makes it unlikely that Daniel Sturridge will end up leaving the club during the January transfer window.

“It’s a story, but actually I’m not really interested in stories,” said Klopp.

“The situation with the player is OK. I can imagine a player with his quality is not happy that he is not starting all the time. I really can imagine that. But that’s all.

“We need all our players. There is around one and a half months before the window opens and I don’t think about things like this. There are so many games before then and I need all of them.”

The 28-year-old Sturridge has not received regular game time for the Reds so far this season and he is reportedly considering leaving the club in January in order to boost his chances of making the England squad for the 2018 World Cup.

On a worrying note, Sturridge was left out of England’s recent friendlies against Brazil and Germany with youngsters such as Dominic Solanke and Tammy Abraham being selected over him.
