Everton handed a huge blow as star is charged

Everton striker Oumar Niasse has been hit with a diving charge.

The Senegal international won a penalty for his side during their 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace last weekend following pressure from Scott Dann.

The resulting spot-kick was successfully converted by Leighton Baines and allowed the Toffees to equalize after Palace took an early lead.

The 27-year-old Niasse has been charged with ‘Successful Deception of a Match Official’ and had until 6 PM on Tuesday to respond to the charges.

Guilt on his part will mean that he will have to miss his clubs next two fixtures. This will be a major blow to the Toffees.

As a whole they have been poor this season and could struggle to avoid relegation based on the way that they are currently playing.

Niasse however has been one of their few players who has actually looked confident and has managed six goals from nine appearances in the league thus far.
