Controversial football pundit Joey Barton believes that West Ham could sack manager David Moyes as early as in January.
Moyes was appointed as manager of the Hammers two weeks ago following the sacking of Slaven Bilic.
This was to the disdain of many supporters of the club considering that his previous three managerial spells with Manchester United, Real Sociedad and Everton were unsuccessful.
Those thoughts of many fans would not have subsided after the club were defeated 2-0 by Watford this weekend in what was Moyes first game in charge of the club.
Barton has now predicted that if results do not improve soon, the East London club could once again be looking for a new manager in January.
“They could be looking for another manager again in January,” he told talkSPORT.
“If they don’t have a positive upturn in performances and results then the January window opens and you go, ‘OK, is David going to be our long-term manager? No.
“‘Are we going to allow him money to spend? Well, no. Then are we better replacing him?’ If somebody else more attractive comes to the market, who is to say West Ham won’t replace David again. It’s clear he wasn’t the fans’ number one choice.”
