Legend says Everton need this striker to replace Lukaku

Alan Stubbs has said that Everton need a striker like Celtic forward Mousa Dembele.

“I think Everton are crying out for that type of striker (Dembele),” Stubbs told BT Sport. “They need someone who is big, strong, powerful, and obviously scores loads of goals.

“He’d be a good fit for Everton right now, but obviously Celtic just want to see him out there scoring goals, and the more goals he scores, the more pound notes.”

The 21 year old Dembele is reported to have attracted interest from big clubs across Europe as a result of his impressive exploits for Celtic.

He played a key role to help his side win the domestic treble last season and has so far scored six goals from 10 appearances for the Hoops this season.

Everton have been meanwhile struggling this season and have been unable to build upon their impressive performances from last season during which they ended the Premier League in seventh position.

One of the big reasons for Everton’s failures this season is arguably as they failed to find a replacement for Romelu Lukaku, who left the club to join Manchester United.
