The Final matchday of the regular season in the Liga MX Apertura 2017 is already underway as four teams called an end to their regular seasons this Friday. This Saturday, there are many enticing matchups among them is the Leon vs Chivas of Guadalajara match at the Estadio Leon. Leon is guaranteed a spot in the playoffs already while Chivas has been out of playoff contention for a few weeks already. Still, both teams will want to get the win and have very strong rosters, here are four players to keep an eye on for this game.

1.Rodolfo Cota

This could very well be Rodolfo Cota’s last game in a Chivas’ jersey with Pachuca asking the ridiculous fee of eight million dollars for his transfer fee. The 30-year-old was one of the most important players in Chivas’ Clausura 2017 team and has been very important this season with 65 total saves, good for second-most in the Liga MX.

The Mazatlán native could be a very important player for Pachuca next season with Oscar Perez winding down to his last few minutes in his professional career. For now, Cota will surely play an important role in his very likely final game wearing a Chivas’ jersey.

2.Elias Hernandez

From a player that is likely on the way out of Chivas to a player that could land with Los Rojiblancos in the next transfer window. Elias Hernandez has arguably been the best Mexican-born player in the Liga MX this season with six goals and seven assists in 14 games.

The 29-year-old always seems to be part of Leon’s scoring opportunities and his deadly crossing ability may be a problem for Matias Almeyda’s defenders. Hernandez has not been able to get the attention of Mexican national team coach Juan Carlos Osorio lately and will surely be motivated to show that he belongs on El Tri with a strong performance to finish off the regular season.

3.Mauro Boselli

Now is the player that is usually at the end of Elias Hernandez’s crosses, Argentine striker Mauro Boselli. Los Esmeraldas’ captain is currently leading the league with 11 goals and will surely be motivated to get a goal or two to remain with the goalscoring crown.

This could be Boselli’s third goalscoring title in his successful career in Mexican soccer with La Fiera. The 32-year-old is still making a name for himself climbing up the leaderboards in Leon’s history books and remaining as one of the more clinical finishers in Mexico’s top division.

4.Jose Juan Vazquez

“El Gallito” was also a significant part of Chivas’ Clausura 2017 championship team like Rodolfo Cota and like Cota, this could be Vazquez’s last game in a Chivas’ jersey. Reports are surging that the Mexican midfielder is involved in a swap deal with Santos Laguna for Gael Sandoval. The 29-year-old has been very solid this season with an 88.2-percent pass accuracy and 124 recovered balls in 12 games. This will also be Vazquez’s return to the Nou Camp, where he lived some his best years of his career with Leon, which should make this make even more significant for the Mexican midfielder.
