Former West Ham striker Dean Aston believes that Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been the best signing of the summer transfer window.
The Egyptian international arrived at Anfield during the summer from AS Roma in a club record deal and has so far scored 12 goals from 17 games across all competitions this season.
Many fans would have been skeptical of Salah’s ability to deliver at the Reds considering that he had a previous unsuccessful spell with Chelsea.
Ashton however feels that the player has undergone a massive improvement and feels that he has been the best signing of the summer.
He said: “Mohamed Salah is the best signing of the summer. He looks a totally different player from his time at Chelsea.
“I’ve been surprised by how quick, how direct he is, and he’s a better finisher than I thought. He’s really added to that Liverpool side.”
