Brazilian legend Ronaldinho feels that Philippe Coutinho would make a good addition to the Barcelona side and has urged his former team to make a move for the 25-year-old.
“I would be very happy to see such a talented player wear the shirt I wore for so many years,” Ronaldinho told Sky Sports News.
“I believe the way he plays will perfectly suit Barcelona and would be delighted to see a player of such quality wear the shirt.
“I like the way Coutinho plays and the type of football he brings. Those types of qualities will also hopefully help Brazil win the next World Cup.”
Coutinho was a priority target of the Spanish giants during the summer transfer window and they had three bids rejected for him. Ernesto Valverde’s side are expected to reignite their interest in January and could make further bids.
Coutinho wanted to move to the Camp Nou during the summer transfer window and even handed in a transfer request in order to force through a move.
Considering that his appearances have been irregular this season, it is unlikely that he has undergone a change of heart.
