Liverpool boss Klopp has the power to decide whether Coutinho leaves

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is set to have the final say on whether Philippe Coutinho ends up moving to Barcelona during the January transfer window.

Coutinho became a priority target of the Spanish giants following the sale of Neymar to PSG during the summer. They went on to make three bids for the Brazilian, all of which were rejected by the Reds.

Despite Coutinho being a key part of the Liverpool first team, Barcelona have not given up hope of signing him and are set to once again attempt to recruit him during the January transfer window.

In the end, it is expected that Klopp will have the final say on whether Coutinho ends up leaving. Coutinho wants to move to Spain and is viewed as a long-term successor to veteran Andreas Iniesta.

The-25-year-old  will be ineligible to play in the Champions League should he move to Barcelona during the January transfer window, however the Gambling Times have claimed that he is hoping to secure a move.
