Liverpool could defeat Arsenal in the race for World Cup winner

According to reports, Liverpool could be set to defeat Arsenal in the race to sign Wolves youngster Morgan Gibbs-White.

The 17 year old has been touted as a star for the future as was part of the England under 17 side which won the World Cup which was held in India last month.

His performances have led to interest from the likes of Tottenham, Arsenal and Liverpool. Wolves are not allowed to give Gibbs-White an improved deal until he turns 18 in January.

Gibbs-White’s current contract is set to expire in 2019 and considering that there is interest from some of the biggest clubs in English football, it will be hard to see him staying put at Wolves. Liverpool are reportedly set to be willing to offer £5 million to lure him.

Speaking about the successes which he has recently enjoyed, Gibbs-White said, “I feel privileged to be part of such a big club. The players that the manager has brought in are unbelievable.”
